Meet JOSH, WE Bots' open-source humanoid robot platform. Our mission is to bring JOSH to life: a general-purpose robot that can move through its environment autonomously, balance reliably, and perform everyday movement tasks.
We're working toward an ambitious goal: Canada's first university-built, fully autonomous humanoid robot. As we grow the CHRC, we plan for JOSH to compete in its future seasons and at other robotics events.

WE Bots is launching the CHRC: a new humanoid robotics competition for university and college teams, with its inaugural event planned for 2027.
The first season focuses on designing and building a humanoid hand. Future seasons will add more systems, building toward a full humanoid competition.
We want to give university teams a place to develop, test, and share their work, and build a competition that grows in scope, difficulty, and reputation year after year. WE Bots will be part of that journey as both the founding team and a competitor.
