Structure & Motion
Frames, joints, linkages, actuators, gearboxes, CAD, manufacturing, and physical robot assembly.
Main project
TITAN is WE Bots' autonomous humanoid robot platform. Started in 2020, it is the club's long-term technical project for learning, building, testing, and working toward future humanoid robotics competition.
What is TITAN?
TITAN brings together mechanical design, manufacturing, electronics, software, controls, and integration. The project gives members a real system to work on instead of isolated practice problems.
The long-term goal is to develop a robot capable of performing athletic-style humanoid tasks and to prepare the club for future participation in FIRA HuroCup.
Current efforts are to complete the robot's upper body design, as the lower body was completed during the 2025/26 Winter Semester.
Project areas
Frames, joints, linkages, actuators, gearboxes, CAD, manufacturing, and physical robot assembly.
Wiring, batteries, motor drivers, voltage regulation, sensors, embedded devices, and safe hardware integration.
Control loops, simulations, robot communication, sensor processing, testing tools, and autonomous behaviors.
Roadmap
We are not treating competition as a one-off event. The goal is to build a sustainable platform, documentation, and member knowledge that future WE Bots teams can continue improving.
Develop and test reliable humanoid hardware.
Build repeatable controls, testing, and documentation workflows.
Prepare for future FIRA HuroCup-style events and public demonstrations.
